GE Smart Water Softener 35,000 Grain Capacity

The right amount of soft, for the average household

Somewhere between an occasional softener and a heavy-duty system for a large family, most households just need reliable, consistent soft water without paying for capacity they'll never use. The GE Smart Water Softener 35,000 Grain is sized for exactly that — connected to your home's main water line, it softens every drop before it reaches a faucet, appliance, or fixture, without you needing to think about it.

Smart control, right from your phone

Built-in WiFi, powered by SmartHQ™, keeps you connected to the system without needing to check the tank yourself. Get real-time alerts for low salt, monitor water usage patterns, and remotely shut off your water supply from anywhere — all from the app. Works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and other smart-home platforms for voice control, and a dedicated vacation mode keeps things running efficiently while you're away.

A more compact footprint

At 46" tall, this model sits noticeably lower than GE's larger softeners — a real advantage if you're placing it in a basement, closet, or tight utility space. A bypass blending valve still lets you fine-tune exactly how soft you want your water, so you're not locked into one setting.

Built to look after itself

Leak detection technology monitors for water damage risk around the clock, and a clear-view lid means checking your salt level takes a glance, not a flashlight. The EasyFill salt tank holds up to 200 lbs, and low-salt reminders make sure you're never caught off guard.
